Once installed, the DSX for steam engines provides sound effects for the steam exhaust chuff, steam whistle, airpump, firebox blower, coupler clank, bell, dynamo, cylinder blowdown (hiss) and even the sound of the fireman shovelling coal. Prototypes initially offered include a variety of steam engines, large and small, including a Union Pacific Challenger, GS4 Daylight, Westside Shay and several D&RGW locomotives.
